I wanted to post about a few recipes I recently tried out (really simple ones) and some unsuccessful cooking endeavors. First off, here is what we ate last night for dinner. Bruschetta and chicken covered with melted mozzarella, tomato and pesto (homemade).

I discovered one of the best, no I have to say the best cookie recipes ever ever ever! I made these World Peace Cookies from the baking book a good friend gave to me after I moved to Berlin. It’s called Baking From My Home To Yours by Dorie Greenspan. The magic about these cookies is, as she writes in their description, the grainy chocolatey-ness and salty taste! They were super easy, fun and fast to make. Writing about them makes me want to make them again, but then I think about all the food (and desserts!) I ate this past weekend at multiple dinner parties! Maybe I should work out a bit more this week and then make these as a reward:)

So this summer I started making my own iced tea after getting a little bored with drinking ice cold water all day. I am not a big fan of juice or sugary drinks cause they always make me so thirsty! So I stick to beloved tap water with ice. But now I have something more interesting…and it has some sometimes much needed caffeine in it, or it can have none!
Anyhow, I finally decided to try to make my own iced tea. I knew it had to be a piece of cake, but I googled it anyways. Haha. The only rule of thumb to note is not to fill the glass with any more hot water than you need, otherwise it takes too long to cool down. I use either Earl Grey, mint tea (with lemon flavor is good!) or jasmine pearl.
Check out my step by step instructions.
